Nowadays we are using many electronic devices like smartphones, T.v., Laptops, Computers, etc. But did you ever tried to search how do they work, how do they store our data?
Well, it’s all possible only because of transistors. Transistors had made our life very much easy.
There are different types of transistors like BJT, MOSFET,etc and I’m trying to discuss it one by one in my other website practical-buddy.xyz please do visit and read it. I’m very sure that you will enjoy reading it, not only that but also I had discussed a few mini-projects which will really help you to boost your concept if you are a beginner. Now I provide you some of
the applications of transistors with the technical approach but for understanding that you should understand some basics of the transistor so it’s my request to you all please read the post mentioned below and then go for its application part.
1) What is a Transistor? or Definition of Transistors.
2)
Importance of Input and Output Characteristics of BJT.
3)
What is Biasing and the need of biasing a transistor?
4)
Different techniques to bias a transistor?
5)
BJT as Switch and some projects on it.

Application of transistors:-
Mostly there are 2 applications of transistors
1) Electronic switch.
2) Amplifier.

  1. Transistor As a switch:-
We are using this example in our daily life when we are using laptops and mobiles. In mobiles it is used as an auto-brightness controller actually I had made one mini-project of this which you will be able to see it on this link:-Mini-Project on Transistor as Auto Brightness Controller. I had also made a small project on dancing LEDs which is also based on
the concept of Transistor as a switch you can read it in this link:-Dancing Leds. The concept of dancing leds is seen in DJ lights or any party lights.
RAM and ROM which we use in smartphones and computers, laptops, etc. also work on this concept of switching. There are millions or trillions of transistors in Ram and ROM. Let's see how it stores data. Here is the example let’s say if you want to store a letter ‘A’ in it and we know that the binary code of A is 01000001. So to store it we will require 8 transistors out of which 1st and 2nd last transistors should be in on condition i.e. transistors which are at 2⁰ and 2⁶ position should be on and the rest all should be in off state.
So these were some of the examples that were we can exactly use transistors.

2) Transistor as an amplifier:-
So I’m very sure that many students have heard a word amplifier but hardly a few of them know how exactly it works. Don’t worry at the end I had also given a link where you can get an idea of how to design an amplifier. Amplifiers are used almost in every device. We had heard this term when we are buying speakers.

But being a biomedical engineer I would like to give you an example based on my field let’s say there are 2-systems 1st system is giving an output of 10mV and at the input of 2nd system you want 1V signal so for this, we need an amplifier which will provide proper amplification of the signals. The best example to understand it is a Neuralink brain chip the signal given by your body is only in few volts and we have to convert it into a higher magnitude so that we can analyze and monitor various functions of body parts.
Here is the example this is a basic ce amplifier that I had designed so that you can relate what I want to teach.

I'm very much interested in analog electronics. I like to share and take knowledge regarding this field. I had my own site:-www.practical-buddy.xyz (Analog Ele)
